What are the admissions requirements? The learner will need to provide their personal details together with their parents/ guardian details. The learner is also required to provide their birth certificate and pay the admission fee. What are the available payment options? School fees is payable through bank deposit, a bank transfer or via M-Pesa. Please contact your specific school branch for details. What costs are included in the annual fees? The school fees might vary depending on the learners’ Grade and extra- curricular club(s). All textbooks will be covered within the school fees. Most trips will be planned and included in the shared calendar for the term. What costs are NOT included in the annual fees? What time does the school open? The school is open from 7a.m. to 4:45 p.m from Monday to Friday. What do I do if I am late in picking up my child from school?We kindly request that parents promptly pick up their children from school at the scheduled dismissal time, which is vital for a smooth and secure transition. In case of unforeseen delays, please promptly call the school to inform us, ensuring your child's well-being during unexpected circumstances. Can I send someone else to pick up my child?Yes, you can authorize someone else to pick up your child from school, but it's essential to inform us in advance by issuing authorization. If you cannot do so, please get in touch with the school to provide us with the necessary details about the authorized person who will be picking up your child. How do I report my child’s absence from school?We strongly discourage absenteeism in school; however, in the event of planned absences, it is crucial to communicate the absence in writing to the headteacher in advance. In unplanned absenteeism, please promptly inform the headteacher through a phone call and document it in the learner's diary. When are the school holidays? School holidays under normal circumstance falls in April, August and November/December. Can I take my child on holiday during the school term? No, unless it is unavoidable. In such a case, permission has to be sought from the headteacher.Meals
When do the children take their meals?Children are served meals at our school with a tea break at 10:30 am and lunch promptly between 12:30 pm.- 1.30 pm, depending on their age. What should I include in my child's break or lunch pack for school?Rest assured that lunch and break are provided for your child at school, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals during the day. There is no need to pack anything. Is Drinking water available in school?Learners are strongly encouraged to bring their drinking water bottles to school. Rest assured, our water is regularly treated and undergoes thorough quality checks every term to ensure its safety. Additionally, we have designated times for compulsory water intake at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm, but learners are also welcome to hydrate whenever needed. It is my child's birthday. Can I send in sweets or treats?Our policy only permits birthday cakes and birthday hats for kindergarten learners during birthday celebrations. This helps maintain a consistent and enjoyable learner experience while adhering to safety guidelines. Does the school offer special meals?The school does not provide special meals. In cases of a special meal, we require a letter from the doctor before allowing such learners to be carrying food from home.School Uniform
Where can I buy school uniform? Parents can purchase school uniforms at Trucosta Brands, our school uniform shop, located at Eagle Plains Estate off Mombasa Road behind Panari Hotel along Kijenge Road. Can my child wear jewellery in school?We have specific guidelines regarding jewelry to ensure a safe and focused learning environment for all learners. While learners are not permitted to wear jewellery, we make an exception for girls who may wear studs. This policy reflects our commitment to providing a balanced and inclusive educational atmosphere, allowing students to express themselves within reasonable boundaries.Health/ Emergency Response
What happens if my child has an accident at school? An ambulance will be called to rush the child to the nearest hospital in a major accident, and parents will also be informed. For minor accidents, the nurse will offer first Aid and notify the parents. What happens if my child has a medical appointment? Inform the school through the learner’s diary in good time. What do I do if my child is prescribed medication? Medicine can be sent to school through the bus attendant with instruction from the administration to the school nurse.Mentorship
